As Jon and I sat around a table full of old and new friends enjoying turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, rolls, pies, etc., I could not help but be overwhelmed with gratitude.
About a week and a half ago, I remember lying in bed crying as I thought about the fact that I would have no kitchen to even attempt anything “Thanksgiving-ish”. But the Lord so graciously provided a blessing in disguise: our broken into vehicle. Not only have we gotten a vehicle that is loads better, we have been given precious time with sweet friends.
There are so many things to be thankful for this year…
– Each other. Traveling and ministering is so much better together.
– Family that loves us well, even from so far away.
– Supporters who have joined us in our effort to bring the love of Christ where it is not
by not only giving financially, but also prayer and encouragement.
– Friends and connections all over the world, who provide us with advice and wisdom.
– An awesome truck.
(I could keep going, but I will refrain for the sake of length.)

We will start travels to Mozambique December 7th and arrive on the 8th! We are getting excited to get there and get plugged in.

Yeah for The Bison! Is its last name “Heller”? Hmmm … Bison Heller. Or just THE Bison. Whatever — it’s a huge blessing, and we are again reminded of our awesome God’s faithfulness to provide for His own and to facilitate His plans and purposes. Nothing is too difficult for God!!!
It was great fun for me to see on Google the actual house in which you were enjoying your Thanksgiving meal yesterday! I almost felt like I could see you waving at us :-D Ahhh … technology at its best …
Now we know that computer-to-computer is the way to Skype from the Walkers’ house to ours. Please give them our love.

Hi guys, It is great to be able to communicate via internet. I have a niece in Dublin and it is and has been our connection with her for about ten years we’ve only been able to see her in person for maybe 3 times and so my point is though vicariously and not in flesh and blood we are still connected, just as we are connected by the heart strings. The pilgrims left home and hearth for religious reasons and began our nation. Their only connection with friends and family were boats and we can turn on our computers and connect instantly with people all over the world. Wow! what marvels God can do through the minds of men. So glad you had a great Thanksgiving dinner with friends over there. Joy and peace . Love, Jonna
We loved hearing your voice yesterday – so many were talking to you we will wait until next time to steal some of your time. “Bison” – sounds like you should be in So. Dakota (we saw a ton of them up there years ago). So much to be thankful for. Vicki and I talked about this yesterday – and agreed it is all Jesus. I read that morning how I am His joy – His pleasure – wow. How can He find joy in us when we complain, whine, disobey – are just plain awful at times. I decided that is what I am most thankful for – His love for me that never changes. Will be praying for you on the 7th. Saw some clips on James Robison’s program from Mozambique and Angola – of all the starving children – and their graves – and some of the young men and women serving there in those countries. Pretty awesome to think that you two will be part of God’s plan for His work there. As we pray together for you both we pray you can feel our love too.

It is awesome to be part of God’s family no matter where you are living. After leaving the mission field, Kevin and I did not move a continent away, but we did move across the United States and most of our holidays were spent without extended family. But we always had a table full of great friends – old and new. Now we have deep roots in Arizona, we are seeing our kiddos grow up and who knows what the future holds for our TGiving table? This I know, we will always gather with members of Christ’s body and we will always have reasons for being thankful. This year my sister and her family came for the very first time. We are enjoying our time with them and showing them the desert. The over-40 crowd are showing the effects of soccer, football and hiking!

oh! im so thankful that you are getting so loved on! its cool to watch God carry someone. i can see it better when its removed- now just to remember he does that for all of us! everything that happens is connected. .. yes.
