Jon and Layne, we love you both and are praying for you. We pray God would encourage your hearts today and surround you with His presence. I was reading in Hebrews chapter 6 and thinking about you. It talks about God being faithful to His promises (v 17) and Jesus becoming our high priest forever (v 20). I love what verse 19 says in the middle of the section…”We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.”

Oh, Layne I have pondered that thought many a time as of late….Lord, is this that she will better know the pain others will go through in her presence and perhaps in her arms again? I am so thankful you trust Him in all this with your whole heart :) I love and pray you.

I’m so glad you guys made it to Namibia safely and are able to be with such a wonderful family there. As I read this post, it made me think of Philippians 3:10-11; “I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.” I’m still praying for your suffering to end, Layne, but may you get everything out of this time that God has for you. Love you!
