I love this update — such a good overview of the general state of life and health at Casa Ahava. No compelling stories or beautiful poetry are needed — just a simple word portrait of God’s people experiencing grace and growth. We know that your moments and your hands are filled with people and important tasks, so it is a great blessing when you are able to take a moment to fill us in.

Thank you for taking the time to keep us in the loop. We prayed for you and your girls yesterday during Sunday School as we were highlighting missionary kids. LOTS of questions from the kids — especially wondering when you are coming to Chandler so they can be friends with your girls. :)

Jon and Layne,
I never really had a great understanding of what it is y’all did. Then I experienced cancer first hand and I can’t tell you how many days y’all came to mind through that. It was so overwhelming to go through and help with one person we loved and I couldn’t imagine what it would be like to open my home and heart to multiple cancer patients to love them through their hardest days. God has given you and Jon huge hearts and the strength to do what most people could not. I can see that while sacrifices are clearly made to do Gods work, the blessings are also overflowing! Y’all are amazing and always in my prayers! I love y’all and can’t wait to meet your girls one day!
