A Jon Post
Well we said all our goodbyes and left all of our friends and family in the USA and we got on an airplane Friday afternoon.
It was very hard. There were many tears.
We kept going.
It’s never easy to say goodbye. Especially to the people who deserve all the credit for what we are doing. But we did and we traveled and last night we arrived in Botswana where we will spend the next 1-2 weeks. We’ll get our truck tomorrow. I really miss that truck.
Angola visas? Naaaahh… We don’t have them. Is that a problem? Well I guess that depends on who you ask. If you ask me I’d say “Yes, a big one”, but if you ask God, He’d say “Nope. I’ve got it under control.”
I’m still asking Him to get us those visas soon. I’d like to ask all of the people who read this to do that too. Please ask God to get us those visas soon. If you have a second right now… please pray.
We miss and love you all. We are here. We are safe. We are loved.
We all miss you guys already! Praying for your visas! B safe!
Amy and David and Sienna;)
Oh…how I miss Botswana. I am so glad you guys are safe. I am praying for the visas and that God would bless all of your steps.

Am so glad you have arrived safely. That was a long trip for you both but just the beginning of a loooong life of serving our Father. As I see mine winding down I love sharing in your beginnings, in prayer and our small offerings. Goodbyes are always so hard . . I know as I have said so many goodbyes to friends, Grandpa Heller, Barry – and now more friends in Chattanooga. But goodbye is only for awhile and we have the wonderful hope of all the future reunions and hugs – both here and in heaven. So we will pray each day for the now – of spreading the Good News – the joy of sharing Jesus – and the future celebrations of families together. Loved being with both of you – still remember your last BIG hugs!!
ah, what a hard thing- to wait. i thank him for what he gives in the waiting, and ask with yall that those visas come soon in our time. love!
Yeah!!! you are safe and in Africa; wow – what a incredible last few days here, emotions, emotions, and more emotions; a little golf sprinkled in there with you (Jon); good times.
please keep us informed on where we can send things are reach you on telephone.
visas – what a crazy thing, why do we need visas? well i am praying to a big God and trusting Him that he knows what is needed. what else can be said.
final thing – thanks for calling Ben on his b’day; meant alot to him.
love you
Our thoughts and prayers are with you guys! Glad to hear you guys made it. Not to worry about thise visa’s they are on the way. Take care guys:)
praying for Visas and that truck to come!!! Have a great few weeks and months getting ‘started’ in your life over there. LOVE YOU both ;)
Dear Ones so glad you are there. I have been praying for you and my thoughts come to you when i am reading and one Oswald Chambers quote I must send you. “If you are “looking off unto Jesus,”…. and setting your heart on what He wants–you will be called unpractical and dreamy, but when He appears in the burden and the heat of the day, you will be the only one who is ready. The Bible verse for this is Luke 12:40 “Be ye therefore ready also.” Anyway it occured to me that going to Botswana to wait for papers or Visa or whatever, you are being ready so whenever He appears you are already in place to immediately answer His call. I thought wow they are prepared. We will miss you here but what you are doing is amazing to me that you are living out what you have been called to do. Amen! Prayers and Love Jonna
Happy that ya’ll are happy;) Also happy for the little things like coffee and trucks:) Praying and believing in Texas….XXOO
love you guys and praying. glad you made it there safe and sound. :)
Ahhh. One more step completed. Many more to go — hehe. Thank you for the sweet extra memories Dad and I now have from your last days in Corpus Christi. So heart-wrenching … but so sweet.
May you soon be reunited with your comforting, familiar old truck … and may the A/C work fabulously.
Much love, constant prayers,
Mom
Hi Jon and Layne
Praying for those Visas. The south side of the church seems a bit more empty without you helping to fill in the Heller family. And now your dad has one less person to make comments to about the sermon, that are supposed to be under his breath, but that doesn’t always happen!
Missing you,
Lynne
