We update this page to give a new focus for a specific patient at Casa Ahavá.

This week we are praying for three of our patients: Helena and Judite

Helena

Helena

Helena had a second complete mastectomy in January which went well. However, it happened too late and her cancer has metastasized to her lungs and the bones of her arm. She is terminal. After speaking with her doctor and discussing what can be done, she decided to go back to her family until June She will return come back then to see a plastic surgeon about closing the wound on her chest from the first mastectomy she had last year.

Please pray:

  • That Christ meets her in her tears.
  • That despair not take root in her heart
  • That she remember that TODAY she is loved
  • That she she sleep with no pain
  • That faith would take root even in pain

Judite

Judite

Judite’s cancer has also metastasized. Hers to her liver. There is still a treatment option which would lead to a surgery and, for now, we are walking with her through that. She has been receiving chemotherapy treatments for 13 months now and her body is close to the levels of toxicity that would prevent her from continuing. The likelihood of her cancer truly being cured is very small. We are walking with her in that small chance.

Please pray:

  • That her body purges itself quickly from the toxins of chemo and that she grow strong and able to continue treatment
  • That her veins would be open
  • That her soul not tire of hope
  • That Christ make himself clearly known to her heart
